The California Department of Transportation will close the Westbound 91 Peralta Weight Station Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018 until summer of 2019. The renovation will improve the facility by replacing the weigh station building, installing a sewer line, a canopy and a multi-platform scale and reconstructing truck lanes.
Due to the closure, the California Highway Patrol will set up random stops in nearby areas for truck inspections. Any trucks needing ticket sign offs or re-inspection will be directed to the eastbound weight station on the 91 freeway. Minor lane closures may be in place during the initial construction setup, but no major traffic disruption is expected.
Caltrans appreciates the public’s patience while we perform this work. Electronic Changeable Message Signs will notify drivers of the closure and detours. Additionally, construction updates will be available via Twitter @CaltransOC and Facebook.com/CaltransOC.
The work schedule is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials, and/or construction-related issues. For more information, you may contact the District 12 Public Information Office at (657) 328-6621.
