A mobile mammography clinic, provided by Pacific Premier Bank (PPB) in partnership with Susan G. Komen Orange County (Komen OC), will be outside the Mexican Consulate in Santa Ana, offering free breast exams and mammograms in an effort to reduce the number of breast cancer cases in the community. This free event targets women from low-income households or those that cannot afford insurance, because every life matters to PPB and Komen OC.
Two years ago, Irvine-based PPB granted $200,000 to Komen OC, which keeps 75 percent of funds raised in the Orange County community to provide breast health education, screening, and treatment for those who are uninsured or underinsured.
Since then, PPB has brought their sponsorship to the next level by educating their employees and customers about breast health through brochures and information. In October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, PPB employees in the 35 branches wear pink polo shirts with a breast cancer awareness ribbon and throughout the year, they volunteer their time to help at Komen OC’s multiple events, including the upcoming mobile mammography event.
Would you be interested to speak to an executive from Pacific Premier Bank about their commitment to saving lives and the value this sponsorship brings to the financial institution? We can also ask a participant or two to share their thoughts on the impact of the free mobile mammography event.
